Don’t change the person.yes, I am almost to tears but since I am not in the privacy of our flat, I can't cry. Oh, I don't cry.
Anxiety, anxiety, anxiety.
This week, I didn't want to go home. I know, it's ironic that for the past months I've been dying to go home. But due to recent events(I know right? Events. Parang something big kahit hindi naman, at wala naman talaga) I suddenly didn't want to go home.
But, the only way to fix it is to go home and actually face it and deal with it. It's so typical of me to run away, but this time I'm planning to run away even without being in close proximity. Yes, I am totally avoiding it. It will be one big... I don't know.
Shet, eto nanaman ako. Anticipating. nakakaloka! Hindi dapat isipin. Pero, what can I do? Wala naman akong ginagawa, kaya no choice. Palagi nalang naiisip. Leche talaga. tapos ngayon, sheeet. this is bad. Way bad.
Akala ko nung una, okay lang. But then, ............

anxiety lang siguro to. I'm nervous about flying alone.
Don't get me wrong if I don't like watching news or reading the Headlines of the news paper. I just don't like bad news.
But living in Dubai, has made me reading the news paper again. Because the news papers here, well at least the part of local news aren't so heavy. Except for today, it's kind of a bit of a drag to read a story of a five-year-old getting hit by her school bus and arriving dead at the hospital, if it's on the front page, and then another on the next page, and another caption box on the same page telling the same story. I don't know the little girl, and a lot worse has happened back in Manila so, I am not deeply saddened by their loss. Sympathies for them.
The point is, the news here are informative but not entirely bad. All about new constructions, increased minimum wage for housemaids(bad news for those hiring maids, good news for Kabayans), funny news about a drunk person getting persecuted because of wearing a g-string on publiv beach, the new technology of a computer programme that rates a person's beauty on facial measurements(i like this one), and other news.
And that's where I should stop reading the news, because once I turn the page to the region and global news, things get heavy. Seeing things that remind me why I don't like reading news papers or watching news. Deaths, poverty, and the never ending Israel-Palestine war, and the never ending Gloria resign campaign.
It's not that I don't care, but there's the phrase "never ending"-- everyday it's on the news, some slight changes but the resolution is never there (well, there are suggestions of resolutions but it never gets resolved.) It's becoming hopeless, and I for one is getting tired of it.
I have been meaning to do this but I have no experience and no knowledge of how to do this: kill the president.
See? How I pick up violence from the news? They should put parental guidance warning when the news is on air. It's much worse than those action films where cars, houses, and people blow up into pieces. At least people know that it's fictional, brought upon by special effects, it's not real. But the news! Oh! It's real, it's the reality that humans like animals are capable of killing. We are even worse than them, at least they don't kill their own kind. Humans, don't just kill their own kind, we segregate, discriminate, and push our own kind to kill theirselves. It's sick, and we call ourselves civilized and higly intelligent. It's disgusting.
Gawd. All these thoughts brought upon by just skimming through the world news, being reminded of yesterday's headline about the people in Gaza strip burrying children and over-crowded morgues and lack of cement beacause of the war. Israel where the greatest place of worship for Muslims, Christians, and Jews is located, has never been in peace. It makes you think twice about religion.
